Myrtle Beach, we are here.

Whenever our family plans to travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, it's like the entire house before Christmas. We usually start packing like Baltimore's former rugby team. Under the cover of darkness, we loaded the vehicle with fishing gear, coolers, luggage, some snacks and some lemonade.

Even if it is only 7 hours drive from the Baltimore Washington area, we usually only need 10 hours to arrive. First, we have to pass the mixing bowl in Springfield, Virginia, which seems to be forever. There are also some outlet stores, my lovely wife just needs to stop and refill the shoes that all her women know. We also have our favorite place to eat, of course, without stopping the fireworks will not complete the journey. Our son will need fireworks along at least two different suppliers in the south of I-95. It's not the kind of thing that sits on the ground and burns out like a match, but something that can fly to the sky and illuminate our summer nights, such as the space shuttle at Cape Canaveral.

I am willing to endure the journey of buying shoes, fireworks and six other stops, which constitute our 10-hour trek, because by the end of the few days, we will finally reach one of my favorite resorts across the eastern coast, amazing Myrtle Beach.

The best way to start your day at Myrtle Beach is to stroll along the Atlantic coast. Myrtle Beach is divided into two areas, North Myrtle Beach and South Myrtle Beach, both of which have many adventures.
